Please keep in mind all our products are loomed/woven materials, which means there is a lot of movement when cutting patterns. The sizes can vary between 3-5 cm in width on all our items.

The difference lies in the weight, feel, absorbency, and drying time, tailored to your lifestyle needs. Our LIGHT Turkish towel range, at 225g, is soft with a quick dry time of 1 hour, ideal for on-the-go. The CLASSIC range, at 275g, offers a similar softness with slightly more absorbency and a 1.5-hour dry time. Step up to our PREMIUM towel range, at 325g for a softer feel and enhanced absorbency, drying in 2 hours. Our LUXURY Turkish towel range, at 375g is the softest, providing the utmost absorbency with a 2.5-hour dry time. For those who prefer a heftier, more traditional feel, our TERRY Turkish towel range, at 425g is the softest and most absorbent, with a dry time of 3
hours. Our towels are compact (you can take them anywhere you go), versatile, feel beautiful to skin, are highly absorbent and dry fast. SAND free even when wet (apart from the TERRY range). There

Christmas Shopping: All purchases made in September – December can be returned for an exchange or refund before 31st January, no questions asked. Otherwise its 30 days from the date of purchase, but we are easy going, if you need more time.

You can do so, in 3 simple steps here.

Almost, any difference is possible due to the looming process. But generally speaking they are all the same size but different weights. The size guide is 185 cm x 90 cm. Our round towels are 150 x 150 cm.

Please submit the return/exchange request for all your purchases made before Sunday, 31st December 2023, by Sunday, 7th January 2024.

All purchases made until Sunday, 31st December 2023, are eligible to be returned for an exchange or a refund.

Naturally, the stock is selling out very fast, so your choice for exchanges is getting smaller by the day. We will, of course, try to find a different colour, a different style where available. If there isn’t an option, a refund will have to be the answer.

All purchases made from 1st January 2024 won’t be eligible for a return/refund or an exchange.

Have you added an EMBROIDERY to your order? Fantastic! We do recommend to quickly read our  Embroidery T & C’s to make sure you are happy with everything before you go ahead. There aren’t any hidden clauses, our T & C’s simply explain the difference between the processing time + shipping time, as this does lead to confusion… sometimes.

All our products are made of Turkish cotton ethically made in Turkey. Some products
include Turkish cotton Terry lining (great for colder months) which is specified in the product name. Turkish Cotton is particularly known for being lightweight (folds to nothing great to pack or carry around), yet being highly absorbent, fast drying, feels beautiful on skin and when used at the beach Turkish cotton towels are sand FREE!

All of our towels are traditionally loomed in rural Turkey by beautiful locals who have been looming Turkish towels for generations. The owner of SAMMIMIS Turkish towels, Dana Beament, took her family and personally inspected the manufacturing facility. We can genuinely say that the manufacturing facility has happy people looming SAMMIMIS Turkish towels because they are being looked after in a clean, light and family like environment. The manufacturing facility also complies with ISO regulations.

SAMMIMIS are coloured with safe natural vegetable dyes and meet the standards presently established for baby articles. SAMMIMIS Turkish towels are certified by the highly regarded German textile certification Oeko-Tex.

In terms of whether the colours run, the answer is no, our SAMMIMIS are colour safe. Colours might fade if left extensively in the sun light or if in contact with chlorine or bleach.

The tests for harmful substances cover legally banned and controlled chemicals known to be harmful to the health. Taken in their entirety, the requirements go far beyond existing national legislation. The OEKO-TEX® testing for harmful substances is always geared towards how the textile will actually be used. The more closely the product is in contact with the skin, the stricter the human ecology requirements that it must meet. A distinction is made between four product classes: Product class I: textile articles for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old (clothing, toys, bedding, towels etc.) Product class II: textiles used close to the skin (underwear, bedding, T-shirts etc.) Product class III: textiles used away from the skin (jackets, coats etc.) Product class IV: furnishing materials (curtains, tablecloths, upholstery etc.)

Our Oeko-Tex certification number is: 11.HTR.91573.
Confidence in textiles certification means SAMMIMIS are responsibly made with no harmful substances. SAMMIMIS are coloured with safe natural vegetable dyes and meet the standards presently established for baby articles.

Quality washes best, if you know how! Our SAMMIMIS Turkish towels and hooded towels keep their size wash after wash. Those styles with special weaves are pre-washed to assure no shrinkage.

- Tighten the knot on each tassel before your first wash (if applicable)
- Zip up/close zip (if applicable)
- Normal wash under 40 degrees with usual detergent
- No bleach recommended
- VERY IMPORTANT: On a cycle with less than 800 spins per minute as higher spins are unforgiving for the tassels.
- No tumble dryer recommended. The Turkish Cotton dries superfast
- No softener recommended
- Iron can be used

Whilst Egyptian cotton is known for its absorbency and is perfect for bed linen, the strands are long and thick but also very dense, so it absorbs and hold water for longer which can create a heavy wet towel that takes forever to dry (musty smells) especially in humid climates. SAND also gets stuck in it, so when leaving the beach, rest assured, you'll carry sand with you home.

Microfibre towels although used & advertised for personal care such as drying yourself after showering swimming or bathing, these towels are often used as utility towels. For example to dry automobiles after washing or for cleaning the kitchen surfaces in our homes, due to their un-natural feel on human skin.

Recycled plastic towels are a great idea to eliminate plastic from our world, however, it depends how much importance you place on the feel, absorbency and versatility when it comes to a beach, pool or bathroom towel.

Turkish Cotton has extra-long fibres which can be loomed to a light, absorbent, and fast drying towel. The more you wash Turkish cotton towels the softer and more absorbent they become. No fluff guaranteed! And no musty smells either. It's beautiful to the skin, compact, light, highly absorbent, fast drying and SAND-free. It's also very versatile, from a sarong, beach dress, scarf, blanket, beach, pool or bath towel, you can use them how you like!

Our products are made of Turkish cotton. While most
fabrics do provide some level of protection, Turkish cotton UPF (Ultraviolet
Protection Factor) is on average 5, which means it allows 1/5th of the UV rays
to penetrate your skin.
